  1. One time a priest was coming to Hacketstown through Coolmanagh and a man who was dead by the name of Captain Hardy came out and followed him. He followed him on and when he was going in in his own door he changed into the appearance of a dog and followed him in his own room and the priest prayed for a long time. After a while he came back down and went to the mill and the dog followed him, and he laid him under the mill stone and was never seen after.
