  1. The townland of Ballinasragh is in the barony of Garrycastle. The land is very fertile.
    There are eleven houses in it and there are forty three people. The houses consist of three rooms, a kitchen a bedroom and a parlour. Some of them are thatched and others are slated. Before the famine a lot more houses were in it, there were about eighteen but now they are in ruins. The oldest person is James Horan, he is over eighty.
