  1. About a mile and a half from the school in the town-land of Ashgrove there is supposed to be a pot of gold hidden.
    The field is situated at the back of a house and is a quarter of a mile in length. At the corner of the field a flag is covering four square feet of ground.
    Fourteen years ago the man who owned the field had dreams about it so on the third night about three o' clock he went to the place. While he was digging a black dog came and stood beside him. When the man looked he saw the dog letting a ball of fire out of his mouth he ran home and the next morning
