    Our Holy Wells.
    St. Brochan's Well. Clonsast.
It is said that a man once tried to fill up the well with stones. He did it three nights in succession and every morning the stones were gone out of the well.
A man once got a bucket of water from the well and when he put it on the fire to boil it would not boil for him.
A pattern was held at the well in the old days but was given up owing to faction fights. It was revived ten years ago.
A girl who took a hairpin off a stone beside the well got a dreadful headache. Her father asked her did she take anything from the well. When she put the hair pin back the headache got better.
Invalids visit the well and drink the water. Relics are left behind to show that people have been cured.
People living in Clonsast used to bring their children to the well to be baptized.
There are children coming to school in Clonbullogue who are named Brochan after the saint.
