    The local "estate" belonged to Lord Ashtown.

    18. The local "estate" belonged to Lord Ashton. There is a story told about Lord Ashtown, that when the windows of the tenant's house were broken, he visited the house & put his umbrella through the window, to ensure the repair before his next visit.
    There was a Cattle Drive in 1913.
