- We have some birds that stay with us all the year round, namely :-
The Robin, the Wren, the Sparrow, the Black-bird, and the Thrush. Other birds fly away to warmer countrys when the Winter comes namely :- The Swallow, the Cuckoo. The Swallows build their nests in the eaves of houses and in chimneys. We are told that if we rob a swallow's nest the cows will milk blood. The robin builds her in a hole in the ditch. She lays four or five(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
