  1. In former times people began to wear boots as soon as they began to walk.
The children go bare-footed all the Summer now. A shoe-maker used to come to White-church every-day and he used go home every -night. He used repair the boots around the district. His name was Mr. Dolson. He was from New Ross. The tinkers go bare-footed all the year round. There are no shoemakers in the district. No boots are repaired locally.
