    The stone was blasted many years ago for building purposes. The Irish name for the townland is "Cloc Coirneal" getting its name from this stone.
    There is a Druid's Circle in this townland also, and within a few fields distant in the townland of Aughnagarron is a Druid's Alter. A man named Wilde took much interest in these ancient remains about forty years ago.
