    and when he reached a certain depth a black dog jumped up and howled fiercely at him.
    In haste he arose to his feet and travelled very quickly to his home.
    We are also told that anyone who interferes with it or the dog will meet a funeral on the Granard - kille Road and will not reach home without a dreadful calamity befalling him.
