  1. Once there was a Japanese living in Northern Russia, & he wanted to marry the king of Prussia's daughter. They set out for the kings palace. When he had gone a mile of the road he met a man. The Japanese said "what occupation are you at." The man said "Ill go with you if you'll give me five shillings a week and feed you the best and I go by the name of runwell and I have one leg tied up in case that I would run too hard after the hares." The Japanese said "come along with me then"
    Then they went on another mile & he met
