  1. There were two boys and one girl, going to be put into a fire. The grand adviser made three stories to save them. The first one was:
    There was a man going along the road. He went into a shed and he got three sods of turf. He went on down the road and there he saw three witches with three bags of gold under their head's. He took the three [?] bags of gold and put the three sods in there places. He went down the road and climbed the tree. When he was at the top of it he saw two dogs and a hare. When they came to tree they changed into a hatched a slashers and a saw. They began to cut the tree again
