  1. Hidden Treasure
In a moat in front of our school is said to be the place where there was a treasure hidden, but it was never discovered. It is on the lands of Michael Fagan in the townland of Carlanstown. It is about ten perches out in front of our school. It happened one day long ago the Michael Fagan was putting down a fence and as they were putting down a post they saw two bars of a golden colour and they dug a long trench and after some time they came to the end of the bars. They brought them to Dublin and sold them for a big sum of money. The old people say that there was a family of people living on that hill and probably it was they who put it there. They were never any fairies minding it.
