  1. I live in the village of Drumconrath in the parish of Drumconrath in the barony of Lower Slane.
    The village has a population of 200. Halpin is the most common family name.Two of the houses are thatched and the rest are slated.I don't know how the townland got its name
    There are four people over 70 living in the village.I never heard them telling stories.Numbers of people emigrated to America in former years and houses were more numerous..
