It was a custom among the people long ago when throwing away water to cry out in a loud voice "Take care of the water" for they say that the spirits of the dead are there wandering about and it would be dangerous if the water fell on them. One night a woman threw out a pail of water without saying the warning words. Immediately a cry was heard. The next night a black lamb entered the house of the woman.
