  1. "Oh you at least my friends remember me"
    The mournful pleading echoes sweet and low,
    Can any hear it and their hearts not be
    Filled with kind pity, and regret that though
    So easy 'twas to help. So little done,
    When but the murmuring of one short prayer
    Might mean release from pain and Heaven won,
    For some dear friend so patient waiting there.
    "Remember me," no note of dark despair
    Theres that appeal that thrills our spirit ear,
    But sweetest hope and confidence that n'er
    Shall we forget that yearning prayer we hear,
    This only solace in that place of pain,
