  1. One day the ducks were out in the field and they did not come in that night. Then my grandmother went over the field to look for them and she could not get them. When she came to the gate to come home she could not find it. She went round the field several times. When she could not find it she sat down because she was very tired. When morning came she found herself sitting beside the field gate. Then she went home and when she went home the ducks were at home. Then after that she never went out into the field after dusk.
