- Last night I was speaking to an old man and he told me this fairy tale. One night himself and another man were sleeping in a house neat a moate. In the middle of the night they heard grand music playing. Then the fairies came to the house and told the man to come out, that one of his cows was sick. But the man knew that the fairies were only fooling him and he did not go out. When he did not go out the fairies opened all his sheds and let his cattle loose. So the man had to go out to tie them. When he went out he saw a lot of little men and women dressed all in red. They gathered around him an kept him in their midst for an hour.
