  1. In this locality there was a family, and they lived at Philipstown. The man's wife died, and left to him, one little boy. He then married again, and his second wife was very unkind to her little step-son.
    One morning the father was going to a fair, and he was up early. He was going down the lane, and who did he meet, only his little son. He wondered to see him, and he said "where were you." "Oh, I was all right Daddy. I was with my Mammy."
