  2. Louthhall Fort is in my district. It is in the townland of Louthhall. It is within sight of the Lisrenny fort.
    In shape it is round and there is a fence of trees about it. The entrance is at the front of the fort, facing the road. No one ever went into it, but people say there is an underground tunnel leading to the mound at Tallanstown.
    Here is a story attached to it:- Lord Louth was in Denmark and one of the Danes told him that there was a crock of gold hidden in it and that there was a cat minding it. He told the Lord the hour that the cat was
