  1. There is a field in Cookstown called the "Castle Field", because in former times there was a castle built on it. There is another field called the "Pond Field", because there is a pond in the middle of it. There is a stream called Cookstown Stream, for it rises in Cookstown. It flows on till it joins the river Glyde. There is a tree in the middle of a field, called the "Lonely Tree", for there are no other trees near it.
