    One night as I was at home with my uncle, I had nothing to do, so I asked him to tell me a story.

    One night as I was at home with my uncle, I had nothing to do, so I asked him to tell me a story. This is what he told me.
    "There was a certain man in town, who was very fond of drink. It happened that his wife whom he had dearly loved was dead for some time. One night he was drunk, and, as he was leaning against a wall he heard the voice of his wife telling him to go home. At once he stood erect, and off he went home as quickly as he could. He was sober when he arrived home.
