A fourteen hands high little black
She carried me for many a season
As a huntress as well as a hack.Now you'll scarcely believe what I tell you
I rode her fourteen stone or more
And when meeting with horses of quality
She was only a pigmy to score.But when hounds were running their hardest
Their quality was of little avail
As she showed them her heels o'er the country
Wherever we met without failOne day I will always remember
