  1. A man who lived in the West of Clare a long time ago built his house on the top of a hill.
In a short time all his children got sick, his cattle died and he became very poor. He went to Biddy Early and asked her the reason why, She said, How would you expect anything else to you and your family live on top of another family.
She did not sday who the family were, but the man knew it was the fairies she meant.
She told him to close up one room and everything would go well with him.
He did so and all his family got well again.
