    Rock of Thorobh. Some years ago it was found by a man who went to get another man to lift it with him. When they came back to take away the gold a bull was guarding it.
    Tairbh means a "bull".
    This should be the reason why this big rock is called Leac-an-Thorobh, or the Rock of Thorobh.
    This Rock of Thorobh is situated right over the Ballyglass Shooting Range. It is a huge rock about thirty feet wide and fifty feet high. It is said that a giant of old once hit it with his sword and split it in two. It can be seen from the town of Tipperary. People often go to see it in Summer time especially, because by standing on top of it, they can get a splendid view of the country all round. The Rock is on the top of Ballyglass wood on Slievenamuc hills overlooking the town of Tipperary.
