- I live about a mile away from Kilfeacles It is a small townsland about half way between Cashel and Tipperary. The story of how it got it's name is interesting.
When St. Patrick was coming from Cashel to Muskerry he passed through Golden and there he blessed the River Suir. Further on his way he came to a ford over a small stream which crosses the road just below Kilfeacle Chapel. Here he stooped down to wash his hands and while doing so a tooth fell out of his head into the water. After this he went to the hill which is to the east of the ford and he sent people to look for the tooth which they got. This ford was called Ách Fiacla and the church in which he left the tooth as a relic is called Cíll Fiacla.
