  1. There was an old mill in Newtown by the bridge about 200 yards from Drangan village - owned by Noonan's - who lived first in Coolagh (St Johnstown) - were hunted by Cromwell and later lived in Kylenagrana. [Wm. Perry]

  2. The newline road (between Doangan and Killenaull) goes through the churchyard attached to the old church in Magoury. The ditch between Hall's and P. Corman's was the ditch of the glebe (9 or 10 acres) _ the parson's name was either Shark or Sharp.
    Neddy hayden Magoury while ploughing years ago brought up skulls.
    The ditch of the road is breasted with stones of the parson's house.
    Flags were found under the ditch with bones underneath.
