    They played all through the night. when Sunday morning came the bell went for Mass and one man stood up and said he was going to Mass. He asked the rest to go along with him [,] but they refused.
    The man went off to Mass and when he came back he could see no trace of the house in which he was playing cards. While he was gone to Mass the ground opened and swallowed up the house and all it's occupants.
    That is how 'Poll Dabhrán got its name
