  1. A man named Martin Costello lived in Cappnagrane in olden times. This man was said to be able to do uncanny things. One day as he was passing by a field of corn, he saw two men cutting the corn with hooks. Costello said "Why are you working so hard" and the men said they had to do it. Then he said "Go home, the corn is cut." The men looked at it and saw that his words were perfectly true, not a blade of corn remained standing. They went back to their employer and ordered their wages.
