    with Polish uniforms. The ruse was successful he got his men away while the Russians were wasting time + ammunition battering the mutilated vines. Captured later he was interred for 7 years in a fortress from which he escaped - fled the country - came to Ireland and to Thurles where he lived with a family. Mr Maurice Power J.P. he died in the 70's and is buried in Moycarkey.
