   came home cured but the gentleman was blind. Another story is also told about it. A man went fishing in the well. He saw a fish in the well and killed it. He took it home and gave it to the cook to cook it. The cook cleaned the fish and made three parts of it. When she was cooking it on the pan it jumped off the pan and appeared the same way as when it was in the water. The frightened man put it in to a bucket of water and took it back to the well and it is believed it was the saint of the well who was appearing in the shape of a fish. The name of the Saint of the well is St Comneth

   There is another holy well outside Nenagh town in the townland of Brookwatson. It is called St. Johns well and the people go there on the twenty-fourth of June.
