    One morning he went to the Glen of Aherlow walking, for cattle he lost some time before and he walked back the same evening a distance of fifty miles with the cattle.

  2. A golden cup was won by North Tipperary from Galway in the year 1885. In the year 1888 the cup was put up for all Tipperary.
    The Silvermines boys won it from Holycross in the year 1888. They hurled in Nenagh. All the hurlers are dead but Mort Darcy, Denis Flanagan and Michael McGrath. The names of the hurlers who are dead are Dan Gleeson, Con Fitzgerald, Martin Gleeson, Michael McGrath, Martin Gleeson, Ned Hill, Willie Butler, Daniel Collins, Michael Collins, Maurice Feehely, Hugh Gleeson, Ned Cooney and James Fogarty.
    Father Cunningham led them into the field. The cup was presented
