My home district is Shallee in the parish of Killoscully. There are nine families in Shallee. There are thirty six people in Shallee. Ryan is the commonest name in this district. There are six slated houses and three thatched houses in Shallee.
There are two old women in this district. They don't know Irish. There were more houses in this district in olden times. The ruins of O'Brien's and Delaney's houses are in Shallee. Some of the land is good land and some of it is boggy. There is a wood growing in Mr Bonfield's. It is about four acres in size. It is called "Bonfield's Glen". There is a river called the Yellow River flowing through Shallee.
