  1. Our Holy Wells
There are three holy wells in this district. One in Ballydonohue, One in Darragh and one in Kilfinane. The well in Ballydonohue is in a small grove. It is called Saint Patrick's well. Rounds were paid there long ago. The well in Kilfinane is on the road from Kilfinane to Glenroe. People visit them still. People who had sore eyes came to them to be cured. Saint Patrick is supposed to be connected with the well in Ballydonohue. The holy well in Killinane is called Saint Naloo's well. Rounds are performed yet they are paid on the third of August. This is called patron day. Very few rounds are paid to the well in Darragh. There is no special day for paying rounds there. Prayers were said at every round that was paid.
