  1. I live in the townland of Kilbeha and it is in the parish of Cappagh and in the barony of Lower Connelloe. There are eight families living in the townland, three thatched houses and five slated. Kilbeha is the english form of "Coill beite". There are two people over seventy years living in this townland but they do not speak Irish.
    One time there was twice as many houses in the district as now but following the year 1847 many people died and others were driven by poverty and others took advantage of
