    very long standing and was commonly in this locality forty years ago.
    First of all, six sticks are got and stuck down in two parts of three each, and three of them are put twelve feet from the other three, and these are called the wickets. A foot in front of each wicket a hole is made. One person throws the ball at his opponents' wicket and it his opponent hits the ball and drives it off he runs as many times as he can, and if the man who catches the ball tibs the wicket before his opponent puts his bat in the hole the latter is out.

  2. Bowling is a game I enjoy very well. It was played often in this district of Kilbrathren, Shanagolden, about thirty and forty years ago, but it is seldom played now. People came from four miles distant to enjoy this game
