    This Irish lad doth dwell,

    He was forced to travel far and near,
    His name for to renew.
    The morning I came home from Doon,
    Remembered long will be,
    When Casey the Policeman,
    He followed after me,
    He followed me over Barnahown Road,
    With John Condon by his side,
    The people said he was afraid,
    So he carried him for a guide,
    He followed me over Barnahown Road,
    Until he came to Mick Lynch's gate,
    It was there I stepped across the road,
