  1. There was a girl once who was put into Bay Lough for killing a baby without baptism. She used to crow like a cock at twelve o'clock in the night, and she used to kill everybody that passed by after twelve o'clock. The priest banished her into the Black sea. She sank all the ships, there.
    They shifted her from that to the Red Sea, and they gave her a cup without a bottom to drain it. They told her to stop there till "lá an luain." She cried out "Is fada uainn lá an luain."
