  1. There were many landlords around the district long ago. The landlord of Donoure and Beanreagh was Wiseman. The landlord of Stonefield and Crinaloo was H. L. Young. John Stephen Collins was the landlord of Ivale, Glenleigh, Laharn and Killeen. The landlord of Knocgorm was Mary Cruice. The landlord of Knockanroe was Major Hodder. The landlord of Blackrock was Robert Pratt. The landlord of North Horsemount was Clery.
Cruice's race were there for two hundred years. They were good landlords. Evictions have been frequently carried out in the district. The people that were evicted built huts adjacent to the land they were evicted from.
The Landlords got their lands from Cromwell. The lands were divided into farms, and sub-divisions. The landlord raised the rent in the tenants. The landlord retained the rights of game, and minerals. The tenants were punished for small unimportant acts.
