    stone and sometimes of concrete and roofed with slate or corrugated iron. Floors are paved with stones and fine sea-sand is used as bedding. This absorbs all moisture is brushed out in a few days and a fresh supply thrown in. Cows are tied round the neck or horns with rope or chain. In many cases 'stalls' are used (See illustration below)
