    This song was composed this year 1936 about the Gaelic Football Team in Drimoleague locally known as the "Scorchers" of which I was a playing member.
    I received the words from the Budding Poet himself. He has several poems composed but they havent been published.

    Oh Drimoleague of Carbery West
    the pride undoubtedly.
    Where'er I go my fondest thoughts on
    you shall centered be
    Anear[?] and far thy children gain
    much glory and esteem
    And well I might applaud to night
