  1. Potatoes
We set five roods of potatoes every year. First potatoes for setting are cut into sets with an eye in each set. First of all the field is ploughed up with a plough into ridges. Then there are holes bored in the ridges with a steeven, and one set dropped into each hole. Then there is farmyard manure put on them, and then there is clay put on them. We plant three roods of potatoes in upland, and two roods in boggy land.
