- There are many old cures to be found and one of those is the gall of the pig.
When the pig is killed many people keep the gall and the longer it is left up the better. It is poisonous for anything else.
- There was a humped man passing by the forth of Rathtra which is near Frenchpark.
As he was passing he heard fairies singing "Saturday and Sunday" then he began singing Saturday. Sunday and Monday morning. O said the fairies who put that lovely link to our song. Then the fairies came out and brought him in and took the hump off him.
When he came home he told another man who had a hump to go forth and he also might be cured. The next night he went over to the forth and he heard the fairies singing the same song but he added Tuesday to the song.
When the fairies heard this they took him in and put the hump that was on the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile) - Faisnéiseoir
