- There is a place called the "Raheen Hill" or Fairy Hill in the town land of Rathcoffey. Centuries ago it was built by the Danes and used by them as a stronghold of defence. Very little of it remains now, only the hill, covered with large flat stones and there is also a deep trench dug all around the hill. There are many queer old stories told about this place, In the "Raheen Field" a workman was ploughing beside the Hill. When he came back to resume work after dinner he found all the sods he had ploughed turned back again. He seemed frightened and was careful not to work too near the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
