    When walking along a road or in the fields, if you happen to see an elder bush (bore tree called locally) when not actually looking for one stop take off your cap and say the following words out loud to the bush:-
    "Good morrow to thee, bore tree bush
    Thrice good morrow to thee,
    As long as I sought you
    As dear as I bought you
    I leave this heart failure with thee".
