   tells about how he bought a loaf. He left it sitting on the table but before taking his tea he sat down to men a pair of boots. When he got up to take his tea he found his loaf gone and a half penny sitting on his plate. He blamed the fairies for taking it for he lived at the foot of a fort.

   There are ten families in the townland. There are forty-eight people. There is no name commoner than another. Our house has a slated roof. They were all thatched a long time ago. Hugh McGlone is the thatcher's name.He lives in Aghclay. He uses a stappler, needle and knife. He uses wheaten straw and oat straw principally. It is threshed cleanly. The
