    Signs of rain : stars farr : soot falls : donkey braying : corws fly low : ring round the moon ; rainbow (showing weather) clouds heavy and misty : south wind : lake black : dust flies off the road : flies on the ground : plenty of frogs and them black.
    When the wind blows from the north it is a cold hard stormy wind. When the cows run out of the field it is the sign of cold hard weather. The soft wind comes from the west.
