   tells about how he bought a loaf. He left it sitting on the table but before taking his tea he sat down to men a pair of boots. When he got up to take his tea he found his loaf gone and a half penny sitting on his plate. He blamed the fairies for taking it for he lived at the foot of a fort. (I got this story from my mother Mary Kate Rocks (39) Tattenclave).

   My townland is Calliagh. My parish is Aghabog. My barony is Dartree.
   There are ten families in the townland. There are forty-eight people. There is no name commoner than another. Our house has a slated roof. They were all thatched a long time ago. Hugh McGlone is the thatcher's name.He lives in Aghclay. He uses a stappler, needle and knife. He uses wheaten straw and oat straw principally. It is threshed cleanly. The
