    Briar leaves are a cure for a heartburn. The leaves are pressed and the juice is taken out of them and drunk.
    Beech leaves can be eaten or used in a salad.
    Dandelion leaves are a tonic and a blood purifier.
    Garlic is a cure for horses coughs.
    Ivy juice is a cure for a sore eye.
    Bogbean is a cure for a pain in the back.
    Broom is a cure for farsey [?] in horses.
    Bruised whins are good for horses.
    Berries.
    Currants are used as a cure for colds and sore throats.
    Sloes are used for dyeing clothes.
    Elderberries are used for making elderberry wine.
    Roots
    Beet root is for the blood and when boiled it is exactly the colour of blood.
    Bark.
    Birch bark juice is used as a cure of all sores and skin diseases.
    Hazel bark is used to stop bleeding.
