   Hound and hare is a game played by boys. One boy is selected as the "hare". He gets a start of a couple of fields. The others follow and try to catch him. They run after him till they catch him and then they "kill" him by giving him three blows on the head.

Some more of his praises I'm going to explain, You muses assist me to sing about Jane, You might search Ireland over from Cork to Kildare, And not find an equal for his famous guy mare, He went into the stable and those words did say, The hour is approaching when you must away A cup near Cootehill you have twice won with fame
