  1. A Collection of Prayers
    prayer when going to bed
In this bed I lie down to sleep
To Good I give my soul to keep
And if I die before I wake
To God I give my soul to take
There are four corners to my bed
There are four angels at my head
One to guard me, one to guide me
Two to carry my soul to Heaven
St's Mathew Mark Luke and John
God bless this bed that I lay on
If an evil comes to me
    Lord Jesus Christ deliver me
On Good Friday the jews came
They had a spear both sharp and long
They drove it through Our Savouirs side
    and through his Heart
    His blessed Mother standing by
With heavy a moan and pitiful sigh
Whoever shall say this prayer three
    times by night
Shall never see the burning fires
